The Picnic Area overlooking the Strait of Dover is a firm favourite with local people as well as visitors to the area as there are outstanding view of the White Cliffs and the French coast along with a fine view of the Castle and the Harbour.

The New Coffee Shop The coffee shop and information center where you can acquire information about the White Cliffs of Dover and its natural history. As a visitor to our town you may wish to visit the cliff top picnic area. To do so is fairly easy as you can drive the short distance up Castle Hill Road on reaching the top there is a sharp turning to the right called Upper Road follow this road for about half a mile and you will see the turning for the cliff top picnic area, alternatively you can always get a taxi or if you wish you can walk, the easiest route is from the Eastern Docks as there is a pathway leading up from Athol Terrace situated by the Docks Entrance. |
